Orthodontics

Benefits

The benefits of orthodontic treatment include:

  • Alignment of the upper and lower dental arches.
  • Correction of dental occlusion so that the teeth fit together properly when closing the mouth.
  • Reduced risk of damage to protruding teeth.
  • Improved facial aesthetics.
  • Preparation for advanced dental treatments (implants, crowns) or management of the consequences of periodontal disease or tooth loss.

Prevention

  • Properly aligned teeth are easier to maintain.
  • Misaligned teeth are harder to clean, creating favorable conditions for cavities, tooth wear, as well as gum and periodontal disease.
  • Misaligned teeth and jaws lead to inefficient function and stress on the jaw joints, which may cause chronic headaches and facial or neck pain.

Aesthetic

A beautiful, uninhibited smile is the immediate and most visible result of orthodontic treatment.

When to consult?

Orthodontics is suitable for children, teenagers, and adults. There is no age limit for enjoying the benefits of orthodontic treatment.

The first orthodontic evaluation is recommended around age 7. It helps your child get familiar with the team and the orthodontist, allows early detection of issues, and offers guidance on the best course of action.

A comprehensive orthodontic evaluation is recommended between ages 8 and 10.

This is the ideal time to take advantage of cranial growth. At this age, most children have a mixed dentition (“baby teeth and permanent teeth”), which allows the orthodontist to observe any developmental issues such as jaw misalignment, crowding, or malocclusion. At this stage, the orthodontist can confirm whether your child needs early orthodontic treatment and when and how it should be addressed.

Adult Orthodontics

There is no age limit to achieving the smile you deserve. Adults can also benefit from orthodontic treatment at any time. Many treatments and devices are specifically designed for adult patients. Orthodontic Devices

They can be made of metal, ceramic, or plastic. Whether removable or fixed directly to your teeth, they work by gradually moving your teeth into the desired position.

 Treatments offered by our team

  • Removable appliances
  • Fixed appliances (lingual brackets, self-ligating brackets, conventional brackets)
  • Aligners (INVISALIGN, Clear Aligner)

Treatment Duration

Growth and patient cooperation are probably the most important factors in the success of the treatment.
Cooperation includes regular orthodontic visits, good dental hygiene, proper nutrition, timely repair of appliances, and diligent use of any prescribed functional device.
Appointments are generally scheduled every 4 to 6 weeks.
Orthodontic treatment is followed by a retention phase with regular follow-up.
